Information Collected by CareerTV
CareerTV collects personally identifiable information when you register with the site, subscribe to the print publications or e-mail newsletter, respond to surveys and questionnaires, purchase products on our site, or enter promotions or sweepstakes.

CareerTV offers free, voluntary registration to users. By registering, users will have complete access to all content and resources on the site.

From time-to-time our site requests information from users via surveys, promotions or contests. How the information is used
Once you register with CareerTV and sign onto our services, you are not anonymous to us.

If you purchase products or services through our site or request further information about a product or service, we request information from you on our order form, including contact information (such as name and shipping address) and financial information (e.g., credit card number and expiration date). We send all new members a welcome e-mail to verify password and username. Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. We also send the user site and service announcement updates. Members can't un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regard to issues relating to their account via e-mail or phone.

With whom CareerTV shares information that it gathers
CareerTV does not sell, rent, give away or loan identifiable information regarding its members to any third party without the informed consent of the user. If you participate in a service or transaction on our site, personal information you supply may be shared with participating vendors to finish transactions. CareerTV may share aggregate or summary information regarding its users with third parties (e.g., 75% of business students own laptop computers).

CareerTV will NOT send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people unless:
We have your consent to share the information. We need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested. We need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of CareerTV to provide a product or service to you. (Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.). We respond to subpoena, court orders, or legal process. We find that your actions on our Web site violate the CareerTV Terms of Use.

We use an outside shipping company to ship orders, and a credit-card-processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

We partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

How we use your IP address
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

How we use cookies
CareerTV may use cookies to assign a unique identification to your computer in order to customize your service on our site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site.

CareerTV takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the Web site, that information is protected both online and off-line.

When our registration or order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit-card number and/or social-security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry -- SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.

Public Forums
Information posted on message boards, chat areas, forums, clubs, and news groups is available to the general public. Please use caution when posting information that may include any personal information.
